Our sponsors are the lifeline to the horses and donkeys that call Mea Ola's Place home. The equids may be here a month... or a year... or more...waiting for their forever family. Some may never get a family of their own! This is why we implemented the various programs that make us unique. These rescues can be useful and happy whether being rehabbed while in transition to a new home or whether they stay here for life. "One life at a time" is our motto. A partial sponsorship begins at just $25 a month. When a particular horse or donkey reaches the goal of monthly upkeep, they are taken off this list. A general (full) sponsorship for a horse is $150 a month and  $75 for a donkey. That only covers feed and farrier visits. Some horses require medications to manage them (Cushing's, IR, arthritis, etc.) so they may have a higher monthly need. Emergencies and other costs are generally able to be covered by the rescue or fundraising and the need is always there for that. Please consider becoming a sponsor or  member. Memberships (contributors) can help to cover general expenses  and emergencies. Even $10 a month DOES contribute and make a difference. All donations are tax deductible.
