Bonding with a horse is a singularly uplifting experience that gives humans an outlet for their fears and anxieties while promoting leadership skills, developing responsibility, and sharing the values of trust, self-discipline and hard work.

In addition to rescuing horses from abuse and neglect, our mission at Mea Ola's Place is to use the hard-to-place horses ( older horses or horses with managable lameness or medical issues) in a therapeutic setting that cultivates the healing process and encourages the well-being, mental health and physical development of foster children, at-risk youth, trauma victims, individuals battling drug or other addictions, those with other special needs, or anyone simply wanting to enjoy the company of horses.

We believe that by sharing these horses through the programs we facilitate, and with individuals young and old... we will create more advocates for the horse.
